Tuition and Fees

Hastings Ranch Nursery School (HRNS) is a leading preschool that utilizes play-based engaging learning. We strive to provide high-quality education at an affordable price, and our tuition structure is designed to be transparent and easy to understand.

Tuition covers three hours of morning (8:30 am - 11:30 am) or afternoon (12:30 pm - 3:30 pm) educational play-based programming. Additional Charges and Fees are outlined below.

2025 Summer School Tuition

HRNS summer school is an affordable and enriching 3-day program (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) that is 7 weeks long and runs from 8:30 am - 11:30 am with the opportunity for extended care to 1:30.

  • Tuition: $850 for 7 weeks

  • Dates: Tue June 3rd - Thu July 17th

Annual Charges and Fees

  • Registration Fee (non-refundable): $100 (annual)

  • Insurance Surcharge (refundable): $100 (annual)

  • Mandatory annual fundraiser tickets - 2 per Family: $70 each, $140 annual

Payment Options and Details

  • HRNS offers flexible payment and accepts direct deposit, check, and credit card (requires 3.4% processing fee)

  • Monthly payments are billed on the 1st of each month and due on the 10th of each month with the exception for the first month bill (e.g. September’s), which is charged in May as a non-refundable deposit.

  • There is a $25 late fee for late payments

  • There is a $25 fee for bounced checks

Q: What is the registration fee?

A: The annual auction is a Hastings Ranch Nursery School’s annual fundraising event, typically during the spring. It’s a fun-filled event for parents and the HRNS community to raise funds for long-term school needs.

Q: Do you offer refunds or credits?

A: Refunds or credits will only be given in exceptional circumstances. For example, families were offered refunds and credits due to the January 2025 Eaton Fires. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.

Q: How are tuition increases determined by the school?

A: School fees and tuition is only increased with the approval of the Schools Board of Directors, which is made up of current parents and families. At HRNS, we strive to provide high-quality education at an affordable price

Q: I saw the school offers extended care options. What’s the tuition for extended care?

A: Rates for HRNS’s extended care options, also called “lunch bunch” and “stay & play” are typically charged per hour. Rates can be found in the Extended Day Tab under “Programs”.
